Hebrews 13:14 says – “For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.”

1 John 2:17 says – “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof…”

Matthew 2:10 says of the wise men –“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.”

With Christmas just a few days away, a good question that we all need to ask ourselves is this – “Where is my FOCUS?”

Notice that the wise men’s focus was “out of this world.” They were looking up. They were looking beyond this world at the “star” of Christmas. They had to look beyond this world in order to see it.

Take note at what happened when they got their gaze off of this world and its pleasures and problems. They were able to – first of all – discern the “star” and then to follow it.

They knew that this “star” had great significance and that it would lead them to the King of all kings – the Christ Child – God Almighty in the flesh.

The Scripture tells us –“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.”

What would cause rich kings to “rejoice” in such a manner?

Because they saw the significance of the “star” and where it was actually leading them – to a face-to-face encounter with the Lord Jesus Himself!

God has a “star” waiting for you. It is a “star” that will lead you to an awesome encounter with JESUS this Christmas.

That “star” may come in many forms, shapes, and sizes. Whatever it may be, you will never see its brilliance until you take your eyes off of this world – its blessings or its troubles – and look beyond.

Look up and away! And then watch how God uses that “star” this Christmas to lead you into a face-to-face encounter with JESUS that will totally transform your life and fill you with“exceeding great joy.”

We are believing with you that this is going to be the best Christmas of all!

May God Bless His Word,

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.  (Isaiah 54:17)
