![]() Last night (Tuesday) three women inmates prayed with me - asking Jesus to forgive them of all their sins and then to come into their lives to live His life through them. Two of them prayed the Sinner's Prayer for the first time. One shared how throughout her lifetime she was tossed to and fro from one relative to another. She was in the Jehovah's Witness Group for a period of time (only because as a child someone took her there), but really didn't know much about life. No one was there to answer her many questions and to steer her in the right direction. She prayed and asked Jesus to take control of her life. Another woman was so uplifted after the Bible Study - saying that she now realized that even though she had made alot of bad choices in life, life was not over for her. Things weren't hopeless. She could start again. And what better way to do so - then to have Jesus onboard her ship! Glory! She prayed the Sinner's Prayer with me. The other woman seemed to have a relationship with the Lord at one time, but was convicted of some things and wanted to pray and ask for forgiveness - making sure that all of her sins were washed away and that she was in right standing with the Lord. Each and every time we go to the jail, both John(my 24 year old son) and I preach - warning the inmates to escape the horrors of Hell. This definitely puts the fear of the Lord on them to make things right in their heart and life. As the church, we cannot preach Hell hot enough. Sinners need to be warned of this terrible place. Most people are headed there, and it is our responsibility as watchmen to warn them of this God-forsaken place and to place every "roadblock" in their way to keep them from going there. John also had a glorious time - ministering to four of the men inmates. He goes over to the old jail and ministers to some very rough characters. While he and a few of the ministers were over there, a fist fight(possibly gang related) broke out among two of the inmates. In that one particular cell, it seemed as though there were fights going on throughout the day. The preaching of the Gospel is the only solution to man's selfishness and pride. It can change hearts and lives and cause people to live in peace and harmony - one with another. Please pray with us for the inmates. One of the women related to me that it is so horrible being in that place. She said that it is hard to describe what it is like being in there from day to day. She related this to me with tears streaming down her cheeks. She is a Christian and is holding on to the Lord Jesus for dear life. May God bring a Great Revival to the jails and prisons of our land. May He totally transform the lives of these inmates and send them forth to society and the church with a message that is "hard against sin and compromise." Sin is no joke! It has terrible consequences! May God keep us all free from its deadly snare. In Jesus' Name. Have a WONDER-FILLED WEDNESDAY in Jesus. Connie
