This past Tuesday when I was at the jail ministering, I heard a powerful testimony from one of the head chaplains of what the Lord Jesus did about two weeks ago in one of the pods where the women inmates are situated. He shared the wonderful report, but because there were many distractions at the time, I was not certain that I got the entire story - at least enough to pass along to y'all.

I was waiting for this Tuesday to come to get all of the facts, but, much to my surprise, this chaplain and his wife showed up at our church this morning. Glory to God! I was able to get the story firsthand from him.

This is what happened - Two weeks ago, one of the chaplain volunteers related an incident that happened in one of the pods. Apparently, there was a racial stirring going on among some of the women inmates. There was much hatred and bitterness felt among them. Something was about to break out - and soon!

All of a sudden, a couple of the inmates started to pray and sing. Before long, all of the women were praying and singing together. A very tangible peace rested over the entire place. And to top it all off - the guard was crying to see it all happen right before her eyes.

Isn't this awesome? Jesus brought peace to a very troublesome situation. The devil intended a riot or some sort of violent situation to erupt, but Jesus took control and brought peace and reconciliation.

Look how God is moving in these jails! 

He wants to move in all places. He is just looking for those who will make room for Him.

Why not make room for Him and invite Him to come into that volatile situation that has you so stressed out?

Never forget the beautiful words of that old hymn - "When Jesus comes, the tempter's power is broken.."

Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Come into every situation where the enemy is wreaking havoc and bring Your Peace, Joy, & Love!
