A Very Important Prayer Request!

As most of you know - who have been on my mailing list for some time - I have carried a burden for a Brother-in-Christ who is incarcerated at the present time and awaiting his trial. He has been in jail now for almost an entire year without a trial.

 

This evening (Sunday), I received a call on my Voice Mail from his wife Barbra informing me that her husband Richard Roberts( no relation to Oral Roberts)(age 46 years of age) was recently jumped by two young men who broke his nose and his ear drum. He also informed his wife that he thinks that he has staff infection.

 

He is hurting very badly due to the injuries, sickness, and also from the fact that he spent the last few days in solitary.

 

Richard was a Pastor who backslid on God and went back to his old lifestyle of drugs. He was arrested last July for drug related charges and has been awaiting his trial for almost a year now. While in jail, he came back to the Lord and has been serving Him with all of His heart.

 

My husband Carl and I have sent him our messages and also several Bibles - along with many study books. I wish everyone in the world could have the grateful spirit that this brother-in-Christ has. He is so thankful for the smallest act of kindness that we send his way.

 

As many of you know, he's gone through many trying situations where it didn't look like he was going to make it - but the Lord Jesus pulled him through.

 

This recent incident is a very hard blow for his wife, children, and family who love him dearly.

 

Please help me pray for him at this time. He needs our tears, travail, and intercession like never before.

May the Lord Jesus Himself walk into that cell where Richard is today and hold his beloved servant in His arms and heal every wound and make him every whit whole. And may the heathen see that our God is still in the Miracle-Working business and is performing supernatural acts on behalf of His children.

 

And may God perform another great Miracle by allowing Richard a Second Chance and the opportunity to walk out of that jail a free man and be restored to his family once again - soon and very soon.
