He Can Turn Your Midnight Into Morning...Your Winter Into Spring

"Whoever has listened to His voice will feel that 'no man ever spoke like this Man.'(John 7:46). Well did the bride say of Him, 'His lips are lilies, dripping liquid myrrh'(Song 5:13). One word from Him dissolved the heart of Saul of Tarsus and turned him into an apostle(Acts 9:4-6). Another word raised John the Divine when he lay fainting in the Isle of Patmos(Revelation 1:17). Often, a sentence from His lips has turned our midnight into morning, our winter into spring." - Charles Spurgeon - The Treasury Of David, pg. 371.

Who is this One whom the officers in John 7:46 described by saying - "...Never man spake like this man"? He is the One Who can speak with so much power, majesty, wisdom, grace, clearness, or sweetness and with an eloquence that is so affecting and persuasive.

This same One is depicted in Luke 4:22 as such - "And all bare Him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth..." His words are so exceptional, glorious, kind, affectionate, and tender - spoken in such a charming or melting manner.

In Psalm 45:2, He is portrayed in this manner - "Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into Thy lips..." His beauty and style of expression cause Him to appear so majestic - and that He is! Such favor, mildness, gentleness, and benevolence are strikingly spread over His lips and - in turn - pour out in superabundance to encourage, enliven, and enrich His precious people.

Colossians 1:19 describes this Magnificent One in this manner - "For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell."
Colossians 2:9 adds - "For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

Being the Gracious One that He is - out of an overflowing fountain issuing forth from His fulness and grace, He freely pours out upon His people such superior favors as demonstrated in His pardon, redemption, protection, sanctification, and peace.

John 1:16 gives their testimony as a result - "And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace."

His people enjoy grace piled upon grace...one manifestation heaped upon another...numerous blessings - so rich and abundant - where there is not room enough to receive them... poured out in successive and larger measures.

Who is this Noble One Whose words are so captivating and powerful?

It is none other than the God-man - the Lord Jesus Christ.

And we are His people - the recipients of the fountain of blessings flowing from His fulness and grace.

As many can attest, one word from His gracious lips can dissolve the hardest of hearts and transform a sinner into a mighty vessel of honor for God.
Another word from Him can uplift, stir, revive, strengthen, and give hope and comfort to one who is so battle-weary, discouraged, depressed, oppressed, or stricken with fear.

And just one sentence from His lips can turn your midnight into morning and your winter into spring.

Are you a Saul of Tarsus whose heart is hardened by religious pride?
Or perhaps you are one of God's Chosen vessels like the Apostle John who is presently facing great persecution or loneliness as a result of your stand for holiness or Faith in Christ?
And then again, you may be that one who is seemingly undergoing the darkest of hours - spiritually speaking - or has been experiencing a "season" likened unto winter where death, loneliness, or hopelessness abound and life is nowhere to be found?

Just one word from the lips of the Lord Jesus can turn your life or circumstances around

Allow this "word from God" - as given in this message - to center your focus totally on Him Who is called "The Word of God"(Revelation 19:13).

Hear the Spirit of the Living God's exhortation to you this day - "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth"(Psalm 46:10).

Cease striving...stop trying to figure things out...don't run to another man for answers... be quiet and say no more about your situation or circumstances.

Allow the Lord Jesus to have the Last Word on the matter.
Watch and see what happens when He does.

May God Bless His Word.
