4 Things God Is Asking Of You
Among other things, Hebrews 11:33
mentions four things
that believers in God were able to do in the days of
old -
#1 subdue kingdoms #2 wrought righteousness #3 obtain promises #4 stop the mouths of lions
Those who accomplished these mighty feats for God
did it all "through
faith." They, too, were human
just as we are today, yet they did great things because
they put their faith
and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
When I read this Scripture, it was as if the Holy Spirit was challenging me to stretch my faith and believe for the same in my life and in the lives of those for whom I am praying. I pass this challenge on to each of you as well.
#1 Subdue Kingdoms
In order to do that we must be dressed in the whole
armor of God and be determined like never before to be
the prayer warriors that Jesus called us to be. The two
kingdoms that need to come down are the
Kingdoms of Satan and Self. Through
intercessory prayer - using the weapons of our warfare
that are mighty through God to the pulling down of
strongholds - we can certainly tear down fortresses in
people's lives. Using the Name of Jesus, the Blood of
Jesus, the Word of God, the Power of the Holy Spirit,
and the High Praises of God, we can get the job done.
#2 Wrought Righteousness
In a world where "everything goes" and evil is called good and good evil, we need to lift up the standard of righteousness and holiness as outlined in the Holy Scriptures. In our daily conversations, we can preach and teach what the Word of God has to say as opposed to relativism.
#3 Obtain Promises
For every situation that we face, there is a promise to cover it that will bring the Victory. We need to "obtain promises" by studying and searching the Word of God until we find the one that we so desperately need and then use it by faith to get our Breakthrough.
#4 Stop the Mouths of
Lions
Lastly, the devil is likened to a roaring lion and is also referred to as the "accuser of the brethren." The devil's mouth must be stopped against us personally and against all those who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Likewise, the devil's mouth must be stopped who feeds
our unsaved loved ones and others with his lies as
opposed to the Truth of God's Word. May we speak one
word of Truth today to someone which will make a
difference in their lives.
2 Timothy 4:2 commands -
"...be instant in season, out
of season..."
What a challenge for all of us this day.
Through Faith in Jesus, we can
get the job done.
What do you
say?
Let's do it! Jesus deserves the highest honor, praise, and worship from all of His creation. Habakkuk 2:14 says - "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." May God enable us by His Grace to accomplish His plans and purposes for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Connie | © COPYRIGHT Connie Giordano - All Rights Reserved
